The vision of The Durango Charter Group was to create an environment that facilitates the search for homes, and other property in the Durango area, in a more user friendly manner. All other websites in the Durango area simply direct the Buyer to the MLS system to search for property. Through personal experience, we have determined that the MLS system is not as flexible and user friendly as it needs to be.Therefore, our approach has been to take the data in MLS, and reorganize it in a manner that makes it much easier to use. We have created search tabs that allow the Buyer the opportunity to simply go directly to the type of property for which they are searching, without having to read through each listing. Additionally, our website allows the Buyer to look at each property listed for that day or that week. If you are a Buyer and are actively searching for a property, this will give you first hand knowledge of the property that you are searching for, and allow you to do so in a timely manner. Another nice feature is that the website clearly shows the length of time for which a property has been listed. This could be critical information as to the marketability of a particular property. Each property is directly linked to the current and historical tax information, as well as Google Earth, so the buyer has the opportunity to see the location of each property, and adjoining properties.

Another facet of most homes sales is a mortgage lender. To better serve our clients, we have chosen two partners in the mortgage brokerage business. JR Spies and Jo Dee Singer are independent owners of their owner mortgage companies, and we have found that they are both excellent at getting the lowest rates, and staying abreast of the ever changing mortgage industry. We know our clients will find either one of these individuals helpful in meeting their lending needs.
The area of the boundary survey can be tricky, especially in the Durango area. Our experience has shown that in the past, many old tracts of land were either incorrectly surveyed, or not surveyed at all. It is critical to get the survey correct. John Mower has agreed to be our partner in boundary surveying. John has invaluable experience not only surveying, but County issues relating to the boundary lines in the Durango area. He, like all of our associates mentioned, is highly respected in the community, and has many years of experience.
